Rush THunder

"THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES WHO NEED, AND CAN BE PROVIDED WITH, THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY SOCCER..."

About the Program

The Rush Thunder is a part of the Total Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS). It is an adaptive soccer program through Northern Colorado Rush providing an inclusive and adaptive experience for kids with different ability levels. This program was established to provide people with diverse abilities a safe and structured environment to learn how to play soccer.

We Need Buddies for our Thunder Players!

We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to become Buddies in our program! Open to boys and girls ages 8 and older.  Buddies collaborate with our players, following trainers' directions, helping them stay focused, and providing guidance. Being a Buddy qualifies for community service hours, and there's no cost involved.

Thank you!

I have been coaching for Rush since 2022, as the head coach of the 2014 girls team and assistant coach for the 2014 boys team. I played soccer my whole life and became a coach because I wanted to help the next generation of players fall in love with the sport that had a huge impact on me. I am currently finishing my undergrad degree at the University of Northern Colorado studying to be a Speech Therapist. I am also an adaptive swim instructor for an aquatic therapy company based in northern Colorado, where I have worked with kiddos ages 3-21 with special needs and/or disabilities. Along with this I am a registered behavioral technician and used to practice ABA therapy. I have an extensive amount of experience teaching kiddos with different physical, emotional and mental abilities.
