Northern Colorado Rush

The Rush Core Values are an integral aspect of our club. Players, Coaches and Staff are asked to learn and live the Core Values to help them become better players and better members of their homes, communities, country and world.

Be accountable for your actions and hold others accountable for their actions. Who am I ultimately accountable to, and who judges my work? Without accountability, values are moot.

Seek out advice and aspire to be the best. In order to learn and grow as players and teammates, we must be open to learning and consider the advice of others. Are you coach-able?

Empathy is at the core of solid relationships. Understanding the perspectives of others will make you a valued teammate and powerful leader.

Enjoy your work, this is a gift! If you are not having fun, be open about why, be willing to work through the difficulties, and find enjoyment in learning and growing as an athlete. Enjoy the sport your own way.

Apologize when you make a mistake. Forgive others and do not look back. Recognize that you should play your best but you may not always be the best and admire the best in other players.

Leaders strive to be trustworthy, honest and sincere. They posses traits such as integrity and honor. They are willing to serve others and sacrifice their own interests for the goals of the team. Leaders are constructive and hardworking and inspire their team to be their very best every day.

Passion always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. Passion never fails. Passion is integral to all sports and hobbies, without, your performance will be lifeless and satisfaction will be lost. We cultivate an atmosphere that brings out the passion and tenacity of all players.

Respect everyone. Respect the opponent, the rules, your colleagues, your superiors, and subordinates. Be thoughtful and considerate of their abilities, training, family background, culture, and point in life. We work as a team to earn that respect back and we never accept being treated without respect.

Our environment is safe. That includes the office, our travels, the field,s and our bodies. Safety is not only physical safety from harm, but safety from ridicule and attack. We are comforted and encouraged in the club. We portray self-control and kindness to our staff, colleagues and players.

To be successful, persevere.... persevere but do not be anxious. Fear no one. Be strong and courageous. Work when no one else is looking, even when the circumstances are not right and everyone else quits.

Together all things are possible. When your teammates are down, bear each other's burdens; conversely, celebrate your teammate's successes. Grow together as players and people in your home, community, country, and world.
