Vision Statement:

It is the vision of NorCo Rush to develop a soccer community that:

  1. Increases the participation of our local youth

  2. Develops players at a higher level in order to strengthen NorCo Rush soccer programs

  3. Create players who are well rounded and give back to the greater Greeley community

  4. Continue to improve the quality of our coaches by making available coaching modules, classroom/field sessions, and encouraging USSF certification.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  1. A National “B” License and above/ NSCAA equivalent or in the processing of obtaining it.

  2. Bachelor’s degree or working toward completion

  3. Experience working with children ages 5 and up.

  4. Background check in home country/state if not from the State of Colorado

  5. Competent computer skills, including ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and website management.

  6. Knowledge of technology based platform such as videos embedding, smart phone apps, website development, social communication apps, etc.

  7. Full-time position (2,000 man hours per year). Office/field hours.

  8. Must reside within approximately a 30-mile radius of Greeley, Colorado.

  2. Excellent organizational skills

  3. A self-starter/planner who sees the long-term picture of growth needed; which involves creating and implementing a vision for the future success of NorCo Rush.  Marketing/public/motivational speaking skills

  4. Ability to forge and maintain a partnership with local city recreation departments, including the surrounding front range cities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates with Executive Director and Director of Teams all soccer related activities and the development of the club teams, coaches, trainers, and players.  Also, acts as an ambassador for the club and promote the interests of the club at all times.  

  2. Recruit/train coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and/or club coaching staff. 

  3. Hire/terminate team coaches and club staff (subject to BOD approval)

  4. Integrate coaching curriculum, including organizing and implementing coaching clinics for all coaches.

  5. Direct and consistent contact with team coaches regarding game day analysis and feedback, player/coach development, training program design, and delivering model training sessions.  

  6. Observe and evaluate practice sessions as appropriate and offer guidance and provide yearly written evaluation.  

  7. Provide support and improve player development while being the contact person for any coaching issues, including:  training, concerns, disputes, and report to the BOD for any significant issues. Be the point of contact for players and parents.

  8. Recruit and retain youth soccer players. Develop and implement a short and long term strategic plan for the club growth.  

  9. Organize camps and clinics with club, local recreation programs and community organizations.

  10. Plan and execute progressive, age appropriate training sessions in keeping with club philosophy and expectations.

  11. Design an outdoor competitive/recreation tournament for ages 5-18 and/or leagues.

  12. Create a positive parenting module for players, parents, and coaches to become productive and positive members of society in accordance to the NorCo Rush club mission (publishing/editing a document which explains club expectations) and monthly newsletter to membership. 

  13. Act as the NorCo Rush liaison in any matter that may affect the club,  including representing the club at any functions, meetings, events or as directed by the BOD and/or Executive Director (Rush/CSA meeting/events).

  14. Coordinate tryouts and team formations according to relevant laws and rules, including CSA and NorCo Rush rules and by-laws.  Provide a comprehensive structure (league alignment) to the Executive Director and Director of Teams of how team formations will be implemented at least two months before the scheduled dates. This is to include team coaching staff selection and announcement.

  15. Advise/review team tournament selections with Director of Tournaments to ensure proper team placement.

  16. Conduct monthly coaches meetings.

  17. Provide all services as necessary and directed by the BOD.

Supervision, Oversight and Terms:

  1. Report to the Executive Director and Director of Teams (BOD), with respect to all matters concerning teams, coaches and player development. 

  2. Submit monthly report to BOD. Attend all BOD meetings and serves as President of NorCo Rush.

  3. Commissions and Incentives.  The DOC may receive commissions/incentives determined at the sole discretion of the NorCo Rush BOD.

  4. Termination.  The DOC may be terminated by the BOD at their discretion.  The DOC may terminate this agreement upon 30 days written notice to BOD.

  5. This agreement contains the entire understanding of the parties and may not be changed orally but only by an agreement in writing, signed by the party against whom enforcement of any waiver, change, modification or extension of discharge is sought.

  6. In the event of a separation with NorCo Rush, there will be a 6 month-60 mile radius no-compete clause.

  7. The DOC will not be allowed to be a full-time head coach for any Club team. Exception: The BOD can assign the DOC to a NorCo Rush team in the event of an unforeseen situation.

  8. No financial commitments to any person or entity may be made without prior General Manager approval.
