Board of Directors

We are excited to announce open positions in our Non-Profit Board of Directors (BOD).  Whether you love the club or want to make a change, there's no better way than volunteering on the BOD.  Want to be apart of creating positive environment that supports the development of players, in addition to overseeing the continued operation and funding of the club?  Open positons are Secretary, Director of Recruitment & Retention, and Vice President.  Please email [email protected] for more information.

The Board of Directors (BOD) is responsible for the management of NorCo Rush.

General responsibilities of the Board include:
1. Interpreting and enforcing NorCo Rush's By-laws, Rules, Policies, and decisions of the Board
2. Establishing all fees and charges
3. Establishing and administering all rules and policies
4. Resolving all external disputes, protests, and appeals except when NorCo Rush's authority to do so is preempted by CSA, USSF, USYS, or other organization
5. Adopting an annual budget and approving all expenditures
6. Managing all paid employees and contractors
7. Securing and maintaining all fundraising including a sponsorship program

Board of Directors Position Open this coming election - 2019

Treasurer - As Treasurer you will oversee all financial accounts of the Club.  Present the financial conditions using generally accepted accounting methods to the board.  Work with appropriate Board members to oversee the development of a proposed budget by the April Board meeting.  Responsible for preparing any and all papers regarding the tax exempt status of the Club.  Along with other duties listed within the Bylaws.  (2 year term - odd year)

Director of Fundraising - Responsible for identifying and coordinating fund raising activities for the Club.  Will track and contact all volunteers interested in fund raising.  Along with other duties listed within the Bylaws.  (2 years term - odd year)

Tournament and Volunteer Director - Responsible for coordinating the Club sponsored tournaments. Collect tournament information on teams, the tournaments they play and their placement.  Assist teams with understanding travel coordination. (2 years term - odd year)

Up for Election every year:

Vice President - In the absence or disability of the President, perform all duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all the power of and be subject to all the restrictions of the President.  Has other powers and performs other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the President of the Board. 1 year term.  Vice President rolls into President roll following their 1-year term. The President serves a 1-year term (every year)

Up for election on Even number years:

Secretary - The Secretary shall keep minutes of all general and Board meetings. Minutes shall be prepared for distribution and approval at the next scheduled meeting. In addition, the Secretary shall be responsible for keeping and updating a permanent file for minutes, policies and bylaws.  They Chair the Bylaws/Policies Committee and are responsible for the election of officers at the Annual General Membership Meeting.  (2 year term - even year)

Director of Recruitment & Retention - 
This position maintains membership number records on current, past and future enrollment.  Chair of the Registration and Retention Committee which is key to recruiting new players, coaches and teams to the club.  In addition, they serve on the Personnell Committee and are a liaison between the club and the community partners, i.e. City of Greeley, Weld County School District #6, University of Northern Colorado just to mention a few.  (2 year term - even year)

Director of Teams -
 Working closely with the Director of Recruitment & Retention, Director of Teams maintains membership number records on current, past and future enrollment and recruiting new players, teams and coaches.  They assist the DOC with Player Placement and tryouts in terms of retenting current members and coaches.  They serve on the Personnel Committee.  (2 year term - even year)

Director of Facilities/Equipment -  
Responsible for purchasing, disbursing, and retaining club equipment.  Prepare and move field equipment prior to the beginning of each season, i.e. nets, corner flags, job boxes, clips, etc.  Ensure the the club's equipment policy is current and relevant.  Secure game and practice fields for the season and field maintanence, i.e. field striping, goals, nets, etc.   (2 year term - even year)
